The Capital Area Career Center’s (CACC) Financial Aid Office strives to provide individualized assistance to those seeking financial assistance for their enrollment at CACC.
The Financial Aid Office will NOT contact students until the student has been OFFICIALLY ACCEPTED to attend an eligible program (Practical Nursing or Adult Cosmetology).
CACC is committed to using the principles and standards of the College Cost Transparency Initiative in its student financial aid offer.
FIRST STEPS FOR FINANCIAL AID AT CACC
Create an FSA (Federal Student Aid) ID and Password at https://studentaid.gov/fsa-id/create-account/.
Submit the 2025-2026 FAFSA– AVAILABLE NOW
https://studentaid.gov/h/apply-for-aid/fafsa. This application covers Federal and State grants and Federal Student Loans. You will need:
- CACC SCHOOL CODE 016426
- 2023 Federal Income Tax Return Information
FEDERAL STUDENT LOAN PROGRAM
The FAFSA is your application for the loans. However, you must also go to https://studentaid.gov and complete the following:
- UNDERGRADUATE Entrance Counseling
- UNDERGRADUATE Master Promissory Note (MPN)/Loan Agreement for a Subsidized/Unsubsidized Loan
Search for additional scholarships and grants from other sources such as federal, state, and local government agencies or community or private charitable organizations. Remember, you should NEVER have to pay a fee to apply for ANY grant or scholarship!
Many of our nursing students qualify for grant assistance from the WIOA (Workforce Innovative Opportunities Act) program. This program is available in all counties. You can find your nearest office at https://www.illinoisworknet.com/WIOA/TrainingPartners/Pages/Locations.aspx
